Parent-Child Program

Our Waldorf Parent-Child classes cater to infants and toddlers up to age 2.7 years, providing a nurturing environment for exploration and growth. Led by experienced teachers, these classes emphasize touch, movement, and imitation, guiding parents and children to discover the world together through engaging sensory activities. This approach encourages a harmonious blend of the child's natural quest for independence and early social interaction in a secure setting.

Our parent child sessions foster a supportive atmosphere where parents can learn alongside their children. The program offers an opportunity for the child to be in a Waldorf environment and for parents to gain an insight into the developmental benefits of the Waldorf approach.

What children do..

Children engage in free play with natural and open-ended toys such as wooden blocks, cloth dolls, and play silks. This play encourages imagination, sensory exploration, and creativity.

Parents and children gather for circle time, where they sing songs, recite rhymes, and participate in movement activities together. This helps develop rhythmic awareness, language skills, and a sense of community.

Children have opportunities to explore nature through activities like watering the plants, playing with sand and mud, and being in nature.

Storytelling sessions with simple, engaging narratives and puppet shows are common. These activities stimulate the imagination, language development, and emotional understanding.

Children interact with peers under the guidance of their parents, fostering social skills, empathy, and cooperation.

Children share fruit together and develop a taste for different fruits and healthy habits on the table.

Overall, Waldorf kindergarten Parent Child classes provide a rich and nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of children while strengthening the bond between parent and child through shared experiences and meaningful activities.

What grownups do...

While children play and explore, parents have opportunities to observe and learn about child development, Waldorf education principles, and parenting techniques.

Explore the value of observation in seeing and understanding what their children are doing and how they are learning as they play.

Mixed age Kindergarten (Age 4-6 Years)

At Waldorf Kindergartens, children aged four to six years old thrive in mixed-age groups, participating in activities designed with Steiner pedagogical principles. These activities are crafted to ensure age-appropriate engagement with increasing variety, depth, and complexity, fostering holistic development in a nurturing setting.

KWK prioritizes play as the cornerstone of childhood development, creating a warm and inviting environment that meets the developmental needs of young children. Natural elements such as wood, seashells, beeswax, and handcrafted toys stimulate creativity and imagination. Throughout the day, children enjoy a seamless flow of activities including folk tales, puppetry, and communal experiences, cultivating a strong sense of community and joy in learning.

Led by trained experienced teachers, our programs cherish and safeguard children's sense of wonder and imagination. They engage in hands-on activities like cutting fruit for sharing, rolling dough for baking fresh bread, and finger-knitting with plant-dyed yarns, promoting fine motor skills and mathematical pattern recognition.
